Do you know what’s in your mouth?

It is home to about 700 species of microbes These include germs like bacteria, fungi, and more.

Some microbes are useful. Others can cause problems such as tooth decay and gum disease. We have a problem when microbes form a colorless, adhesive film called dentobacterial plaque on the teeth.

Brushing and flossing help keep your mouth clean. But after brushing and flossing, the germs grow back and more plaque forms. That is why you need to clean your mouth at least 3 times a day.
